Membership.
Applicants for Student Membership must be at least
17 years of age, have attained a satisfactory standard of secondary
education and be undergoing appropriate training for the
Association's examinations at a recognised centre.
'Application for Student Membership' forms are available from
the Examinations Secretary of the recognised centre you are
attending. The application must be accompanied by the registration
fee, which is a 'once-only' payment, plus the annual membership
subscription as shown in the current Membership Fees and
Subscriptions leaflet enclosed with this booklet. On acceptance,
students will receive a letter, through their centre's Examinations
Secretary, confirming their student membership status and
individual registration number, which should be used in any
communication with the Association. The Association will only
mark or moderate examination scripts or project work which have been
submitted by registered students who do not owe fees to the
Association.
Associate Member.
Applicants for Associate
Membership must have passed, or been exempted from, the Certificate
examinations of the Association, or have a minimum of 3 years
approved experience. Successful applicants may use the designatory
letters AACP.
Member.
Applicants for Full Membership must have passed,
or been exempted from the Diploma examinations of the
Association, or have a minimum of 8 years approved experience in
the computer industry. Successful applicants may use the
designatory letters MACP.
Fellow
Fellowship of the
Association is an honorary award made by the Council of the
Association and cannot be applied for.
